Malcolm Wildeboer: Designing the West Carleton War Memorial
At the base of Falldown Lane, immortalized in bronze, a young Canadian soldier sits quietly among the ruins of war reading a letter from home. Each year at the 11th hour of the 11th month a shadow, our shadow, falls across the names of the fallen and a Morse Code message spread across the pavement calls us to Remember…. Malcolm looks forward to bringing to light the many layers of thought and design behind the making of this new memorial.
