Populace Closing Ceremonies

September 9, 2017 - 09:00 - 19:00

You are invited to the Closing Ceremonies of Populace! This one day event will offer you the opportunity to participate in a final viewing of this exhibit and to hear from the artists who created Populace.

This final Populace event runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on September 9, 2017. Music, refreshments and an opportunity to visit the garden again before it is dismantled (prior to going on tour) are key parts of the celebration.

The Populace artists will be sharing their experiences at 10 am and again at 4 pm . . . hear about the challenges . . . celebrate the people involved . . . learn about the journey of this amazing community art project . . . ask questions in the Q&A portion.

A $20 General Admission ticket also allows you to select one limited edition hand-built, one-of-a-kind, ceramic sculpture out of a field of 9000 to keep as your own Canada 150 memento. An even better option: a $50 VIP ticket gives you the opportunity to select any three of these sculptures. You can select from all three of the sculpture styles – choose a rose, a fleur de lis and a feather!

You will receive a tag identifying each limited edition sculpture and rod as well as a commemorative pamphlet on the historic Canada 150 project Populace by the Ottawa Guild of Potters and funded by Ottawa 2017 and Ontario 150.

This ticket entitles you to own a piece of Canada 150 history!
