HERITAGE OTTAWA 2018 PHILLIPS MEMORIAL LECTURE

World War I had deep transformative effects on Canada and on France felt at all levels of society, then and now.

SPEAKER(S):

Senator Serge Joyal has carved a solid reputation as a man who is passionate about history and culture.

Through the theme of Canada and France during the Great War he will focus his presentation on the War’s transformative impacts on the Parliament of Canada, the rights of women, and more.
The Lecture is free and there is no need to pre-register.

The annual Phillips Memorial Lecture honours the memory of Bob and Mary Anne Phillips, co-founders of Heritage Ottawa which began in 1967 as the Heritage Committee of “A Capital for Canadians”.
