Saturdays in September – 10 am to 4 pm
Explore how settler families like the Pinhey’s prepared their garden and food stores for the winter season. Each Saturday we will highlight a different historical food preservation method through themed demonstrations. Our interpreters will also be available to provide tours of the house and to provide information on the natural heritage of the museum’s site.
September 1 – Pickling and canning
September 8 – Smoking and drying
September 15 – Seed saving
September 22 – Garlic and bulbs
