Something old and something new: sound gardening practices and growing weird and wacky vegetables

May 10, 2018 - 19:00 - 20:30

Discover the best gardening practices for growing a home vegetable garden.  Learn some alternative plant profiles that you can try for fun to spice it up!

Esther Bryan has been with the Master Gardeners of Ottawa- Carleton for three years now. The Master Gardeners are an organization of experienced gardeners dedicated to garden education; they give lectures, do advice clinics at markets, as well as give advice by phone and email for home gardeners and organizations.

Esther has been gardening since she was a kid. She grows houseplants, perennials, and a rock garden but her pride and joy and primary interest is her veggie garden. She has a particular interest in growing unusual edibles.  She is married with two kids who she drags into the garden too!

The presentation will be in English only with a bilingual Q & A.
