Save the date: Arms-Length Cultural Development Feasibility Study Consultation Session

Have a say in options for advancing our heritage and cultural sector on Monday September 24, 7 to 9 p.m.

We appreciate your interest in and input to the Arms-Length Cultural Development Feasibility Study.
This is a community-driven study looking at ways to help Ottawa’s cultural sector continue to advance and grow. It needs our community’s ideas on how to best foster a vibrant and diverse cultural scene that enhances our city’s livability, contributes to its economy and where cultural workers of all kinds can thrive.
We hear you
At the last community feedback session (June 2018), we heard that, in order to contribute meaningfully to the study, people need to know more about why the study is being done, how it’s being done, the potential results, how they may be used, and why they will matter.
Our response
The consulting team has prepared an Briefing Paper for people interested in the study and our city’s cultural sector development. It’s meant to be a short, informative read before the next feedback session, where the consulting team will present the results of the study so far and seek feedback on some of the options for advancing Ottawa’s cultural sector more effectively.
What’s next
Plan to read the briefing paper and attend the next community feedback session on September 24 from 7-9PM at the Ottawa Art Gallery.
