This is a photo I took on July 1st 2017 Canada Day on Rideau St. right in front of Rideau Center.
I liked the performer on Rideau in the photo with the papers he laid out as an interesting composition element in this lively photo of Canada Day 2107.
I walked my Canada Day 150 journey from Cobourg St. area at around 5:00p.m. down Rideau throughout downtown and then Majors Hill park for the Fireworks viewing which started at 11:00p.m

I took this during the finale of the fireworks competition this summer. It was windy, cold and raining. Not the best conditions for fireworks or photography.
You don't see a lot of black and white fireworks photos because everyone enjoys the mix of colours and exposures. Colour is easy, but black and white is a unique way of looking at things. We don't naturally see in black and white, so it is an abstraction of reality but infinitely more revealing. Here,I think it pulls the viewer in to consider popular landmarks and locations in a completely different way and adding a whole new sense of excitement to them.
